Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States according to the CDC. The prevalence of heart disease in men and women in the U.S. is similar, but because we are anatomically different it is important to understand the differences if there is a major heart attack event. It is important to be prepared and be able to spot the signs for yourself or a loved one, no matter the gender.
